#14. The MINISTRY OF HELPS Series

HELPS is God's design. As an OFFICIALLY APPOINTED Leader or Duty Worker, your position is an official platform with God's Empowerment. Anyway you look at it, your time committed to your HELPS Duty within your Minister's Ministry Work or local Pastor's Church Work makes you extremely vital. God has already placed supernatural Empowerment within you to support your Minister or local Pastor for the fulfilment of God's Calling and divine assignment upon them! (1 Corinthians 12:28) God Bless! http://helpsministrytraining.blogspot.com The Ministry of Helps by Tope A. Banjo (2013)

See yourself in God's picture. You are more than just a figure in the Ministry and Church's statistics. You are vital. Recognize your place. Your Minister or local Pastor will have a lot of difficulty fulfilling God's mandate without official Leaders and Members like you performing your Duties. Truth is, their productivity is already limited by their humanity! "The Body of Christ is not one part but many members. Every part is necessary!" Apostle Paul, 1 Corinthians 12:14-23 No Minister or Pastor is that powerful working alone! God Bless! http://helpsministrytraining.blogspot.com The Ministry of Helps by Tope A. Banjo (2013)

#12. The MINISTRY OF HELPS Series

“Then the LORD said to Moses, “Write this for a memorial in the book and recount it in the hearing of Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.” And Moses built an altar and called its name, The-LORD-Is-My-Banner; for he said, “Because the LORD has sworn: the LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.” Exodus 17:14-16, NKJV. When Amalek brought battle in Rephidim, Israel would have been exterminated if the battle had depended on Moses alone. God ruled the day using Moses, Aaron, Hur, Joshua and the soldiers together, but in different ways. Everyone fought, but God won! You're not that powerful all by yourself! “But now indeed there are many members, yet one body. And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary. 1 Corinthians 12:21-22 We are members of one another. Each with a...

In Exodus 17:8 , Amalek brought battle against Israel in Rephidim.  From verse 9, Moses set OFFICIALLY RESPONSIBLE PERSONS to work.  [9]And Moses said to Joshua, “Choose us some men and go out, fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand.” [10]So Joshua did as Moses said to him, and fought with Amalek. And Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. [11]And so it was, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. [12]But Moses’ hands became heavy; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. And Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. [13]So Joshua defeated Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword. Different persons worked at different Duty posts to jointly win that battle. God's SUPERNATURAL Power was released. Amalek was defeated! ( E...

After my Helps Ministry Class, one student said, “...Now I know that I am not called to preach. I know that my place is in the Helps ministry. There's so much to do for God in the Helps ministry!”  Moses set OFFICIALLY RESPONSIBLE PERSONS to fight against Amalek at Rephidim. Joshua chose soldiers. Aaron and Hur set a seat for Moses. Kept his hands steadily raised until sundown. Amalek was defeated! Exo 17. God Bless!  The Ministry of Helps by Tope A. Banjo (2013)

#9. The MINISTRY OF HELPS Series

God Almighty supernaturally set HELPS to perform every necessary Duty with expected results! 1 Cor 12:27-28 And just like when the Seven servers worked to deliver expected results in Acts 6:5-7, this generation will see much of God's Power in demonstration through the HELPS at work in both Ministry and Church Work.  God Bless!  The Ministry of Helps by Tope A. #8. The MINISTRY OF HELPS Series

As Thousands needed food, disciples found [9]“...a lad here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are they among so many?”  Without compulsion, this lad gave. The Lord Jesus received, gave thanks and disciples gave as much as the crowd wanted. God Almighty still remembers this lad and his gift! John 6:9-11 Sometimes, God just wants something from you.  God Bless!

Stephen, Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas, became OFFICIALLY RESPONSIBLE PERSONS for serving tables, [7]...the word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith. Acts 6:5-7 God's SUPERNATURAL Power empowers you. Perform excellently. Something BIG from God will manifest through your HELPS Duty! God Bless!

Moses prayed, “I am not able to bear all these people alone, because the burden is too heavy for me.”  God directed, "Gather to Me seventy elders of Israel ...I will take of the Spirit that is upon you and will put the same upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, that you may not bear it yourself alone.” Numbers 11:14-17 HELPS is a great need! The Apostles said, [3]...seek out ...seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business;...full of faith and the Holy Spirit. [7]Then the word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith. #2. The MINISTRY OF HELPS Series

You are extremely significant to God for fulfilling your Minister or Pastor's Calling to certain People, Places or Situations. The Lord Jesus ...chose twelve whom He also named apostles (Luke 6:13). As they ministered and souls were being added to God's Kingdom, trouble arose in Acts 6:1 with daily ministration to the widows! Why? The Apostles lacked OFFICIALLY RESPONSIBLE PERSONS for that Duty! Every Ministry and Pastoral Calling requires OFFICIALLY RESPONSIBLE PERSONS for every Duties. May you know how significant you are to God for fulfilling your Minister or Pastor's Calling. God Bless! #1. The Ministry of HELPS Series

The journey began in March 1991 during my NYSC year at a village called Lissam, Takum, in Taraba State. God Called me to 'Teach On and Beautify The Ministry of HELPS.'  We Teach Believers how to effectively and efficiently work with Ministers and Pastors, through the Ministry of HELPS, to fulfil God's Calling.  As Leader or Worker, your involvement in the HELPS, within your Minister or local Pastor's Work, is a Need with Scriptural basis and Value.   1 Corinthians 12:28 declares, "And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, HELPS, administrations, varieties of tongues ." You are extremely significant to God for fulfilling your Minister or Pastor's Calling. This is what we'll be discussing as we go on.  God Bless   There's More @ http://helpsministrytraining.blogspot.com Culled from The MINISTRY OF HELPS by Tope A. TVB 156: 1. Understanding Your HELPS Ministry

Session 1: Pastors & Ministers Topic: Ministry Workforce Management "And when it was day, He called His disciples to Him; and from them He chose twelve whom He also named apostles." (Luke 6:13) Next to money, the most important thing to the discerning man or woman is Time. Persons who understand the value of Time usually stand out as valuable workers in God's vineyard! In the same vein, their 'unavailability' can pose work challenges! As God's called Pastor or non-pastoral Minister it is your primary duty to find persons who can and will give due Time to perform the support duties or HELPS (1 Cor 12:28) required to fulfill what God called you to do. Certain factors are vital when recruiting people to work with you to fulfill your Pastoral or non-pastoral Ministry call.  HOW YOU CAN FIND THEM is my focus in this Ministry Workforce Management session!  1. Pay Attention To... a) God's Directions [in your heart and in His Word]: Particularly at the beg...

The HELPS Ministry

(Adapted from ‘Understanding the Helps Ministry’ Workshop Manual) “And so it was, on the next day, that Moses sat to judge the people; and the people stood before Moses from morning until evening. So when Moses' father-in-law saw all that he did for the people, he said, “What is this thing that you are doing for the people? Why do you alone sit, and all the people stand before you from morning until evening?” And Moses said to his father-in-law, “Because the people come to me to inquire of God. When they have a difficulty, they come to me, and I judge between one and another; and I make known the statutes of God and His laws.” So Moses' father-in-law said to him, “The thing that you do is not good. Both you and these people who are with you will surely wear yourselves out. For this thing is too much for you; you are not able to perform it by yourself.” - Exodus 18:13-18 (see up to verse 23). In teaching on the subject of the Helps Ministry, we have been able to identify sev...

HELPS MINISTRY TRAINING: LESSONS FROM A BETRAYER

“And he went up on the mountain and called to Him those He Himself wanted. And they came to Him. Then He appointed twelve... and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed Him. And they went into a house.” Mark 3: 13-19. To be called by God is a privilege, to be anointed an advantage, but to be found faithful is a strict prerequisite. The prerogative to choose and anoint is solely God’s, but the choice of faithfulness is totally yours. Scriptures show us that after prayer, Jesus called and ordained twelve apostles including Judas Iscariot. Indeed this name brings displeasure to many within and outside Christendom and this is perfectly understandable. He betrayed Jesus Christ. But before you throw your stone, please step back a bit. I believe that there a few lessons we can glean from this character and his time on Jesus’ crew. If you concur that God chooses in line with His purposes and plans for us, then Judas’ calling was no different. Jesus chose him just like the others after a night ...

TVB 51: 2 HELPS MINISTRY TRAINING: THE COLT

"And it came to pass, when he was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, saying, Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither. And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him." Luke 19:29-31 Has it ever occurred to you that you may possess certain qualities that the Lord needs? There is a service gift within you which is vital and necessary for many people to contact their destinies – if only you put it to work! This gift positions you to be used by God. Many have heard a lot about the end-time move of God. My concern here is with God’s ministers who occupy the pews. You are also God’s flame and you play a vital role in God’s end-time move by reason of the duties you fulfill within your departments in your church. God wants to pour out H...

tVB 47: 1 HELPS MINISTRY TRAINING: TWO FACES OF GROWTH

"And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration." Acts 6:1 Growth has two faces – the good and then the ugly. The good we love to talk about, but the bad we prefer to turn away from. But when it comes to human resource development in the church, you can’t avoid having the ugly except you prepare adequately to avoid it. The ugly face of growth is what you get when no systems have been prepared to meet the needs generated by growth. For example, space in the venue of worship. If you carry on without a plan to increase or acquire more space, you may find yourself frequently resolving space issues among members of the congregation, and it won’t be because they are not ‘spiritual’ enough. Another ugly face is dwindling commitment of members to spiritual service in the church. Without excusing or endorsing this, there are a number of ...
